The Sabres drafted another WHL defenseman (the last one's been working out okay so far) with the 23rd pick in the Entry Draft.
This one is Mark Pysyk of the Edmonton Oil Kings. His last name looks like a typo and he seems on the small side, but other than Victor Hedman, what prospect isn't? I mean, Myers was 6'7" but he was like a string bean at the draft.
Anyway, so even though they didn't draft Riley Sheahan like I wanted them to with my brilliant reasoning capabilities, this bit of trivia about Mark has him a-ok in my books:
"One of his pre-game rituals is wearing his grandfather’s cuff links to every game..."
I'm guessing those are the famous cuff links on his shirt. A+.
How sweet. Hopefully we'll see you after another year in Edmonton, kiddo. Welcome to the Buffalo Sabres.
ETA: I just scrolled down the article on the Sabres website that gave me that bit of cuff link trivia. Apparently his favorite website is Google. Hahahaha. What? Facebook? NHL.com? Twitter? Nope? Good answer, buddy. :)
