In between bites of picnic deliciousness today, take a second to say "thanks, dude/dudette" to your friendly neighborhood military personnel.
It's a time to honor all those whose lives are dedicated to protecting our physical and intellectual freedom through service to their country.
And tonight we will honor them by playing hockey. Game 2, here we come. My family is honoring our veterans as we always do: with a picnic as we watch the local parade march down our street. Good times to be had by all.
