I'm In Love

by Anne

Things to take away from this game against the Devils:

  • The Devils may or may not have a player named after a food borne bacteria
  • Watching Patty Lalime dance like a sprite in front of Ryan Miller whilst celebrating his shut out has basically done me in.
  • Millsy's 2nd consecutive shutout - first time in his career
  • Pat Kaleta's deflection from like 20 feet out was positively Thomas Vanek-esque, blocking shots, playing on the penalty kill = love.
  • Love love love love love, did I mention all the love I'm feeling?

I do look pretty foxy in red.

Thank you, I am not the only one who noticed this. I wanted the Versus announcers to stop saying his name, but they refused to do anything about it. ):

    LOVE! LOVE THIS TEAM.

I feel like we need to stage a 1960s style love in at HSBC Arena soon, just to spread the vibes.

It was definitely a beautiful game and a beautiful dance. If you get a chance to watch the first period and the end of the 3rd period, you'll be swept away, i'm SURE.

At first I thought I was just going crazy when I read his jersey, but then Doc actually said it. I keep a running list of goofy hockey names. ADDED.

Miller didn't seem to know what to do, he's not used to expressing emotion. He didn't seem to giggle with glee as I did, but I'm sure he did on the inside. LOVE.

Glossary... Sort of

  • "Ryan Miller Shutout" - A 58 minute, multi-goal shutout lead that is blown when Miller allows one meaningless goal

  • Butter Snaps - Carolina Hurricanes. Because Butter Snap pretzels, like the Carolina Hurricanes, are disgusting
  • Greener - MATT Greene (LAK)
  • JBG - Jolly Blonde Giant - Tyler Myers
  • Little Foot - Drew Stafford
  • MK - Anne's sister; often leaves nonsensical comments under her Twitter name Mmmkizzle
